Venue Hire

Please note that completing this form is not confirmation of hire. Your hire will be taken to the MIFC committee for consideration and a Club representative will contact you with the outcome.

Confirmation of booking will not be received until approved by the committee and full payment is received.

Venue Hire

Day hire (meetings, workships, classes) – $100 (No alcohol permitted)

Events:

0 – 30 people: $400

30 – 100 people: $700 + 2 x Security guards

100+ people: $1,000 + 4 x Security Guards

Bar Hire

$100 per hour, staffed by MIFC.

Fees

All fees are to be paid at least 14 days prior to the date of hire.

Direct deposit is prefered to MIFC – BSB: 016-620, ACC: 349 963 715.

Please ensure your name and ‘Hire’ is your reference. 

Preference for a cash deposit so that this can be returned to you on the day.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All requests for hire of the MIFC are to be made on the application form.  The decision to hire the club will be made by the Committee at the monthly committee meeting. 

MIFC functions and events take priority over all hire requests. 

The MIFC reserves the right to decline an application for any booking.

Hire Inclusions

Hire of the premises includes the use of the following facilities and equipment:

• Barbeques and utensils if required
• Toilets
• Tables and Chairs
• Club room with fridges and kitchenette
• TV
• Wi-Fi

Conduct of the Event

Maximum capacity, 300 people.

The hiree assumes full responsibility for the conduct of all guests.

Music and noise are to be restricted to a reasonable level and must cease before 11:00pm. 

Food and Beverages

The hiree is responsible for any food and beverages for the event.  No alcohol is to be sold while hiring the club. Bar facilities will be provided by Mary Island Fishing Club in accordance with Liquor License rules and regulations. Responsible Service of Alcohol guidelines will be adhered to at all time.

Decorations

Additional decorations / structures may be erected on Fishing Club grounds by the hiree, on approval by the committee.  Set up and dismantling of such equipment is the responsibility of the hiree and shall in no way leave damage to the club infrastructure due to their use.

Cleaning

The club grounds are to be left in the same condition as when the hire commenced (ie. Toilets cleaned, equipment put away, rubbish collected and bins left near the front gate, fridges emptied of all items) by 11:00am the following day.

Damage

Any damage to any part of the club’s property, furniture, fittings, fixtures as a result of activities occurring during the period of hire will be the responsibility of the hiree. 

Please report any damage to the MIFC and set aside any items that need repair or replacement.

Security

It will be the responsibility of the hiree to obtain and pay for security from Alpha Division Security Services.  Confirmation of this needs to be forwarded to the Mary Island Fishing Club, along with proof of payment. Contact details for Alpha Division Security Services is as follows:

Bond Payment

A bond deposit of $2000 is required.  This will be refunded to the hiring party when it is deemed that the club facilities are in the same condition as when the venue was let AND the key returned.
