Join the Mary Island Fishing Club for the Ike Stohl Memorial Fishing Competition, a special event dedicated to celebrating the life, passion and lasting legacy of Ike Stohl.
More than just a fishing competition, this event brings our fishing community together to honour a man who made a lasting impact on local fishing and the people around him. Whether you knew Ike personally or simply share his love for fishing and the great outdoors, everyone is welcome to be part of this meaningful occasion.
The weekend kicks off on Friday 30 October with registrations and the competition briefing, followed by a full day of fishing on Saturday 31 October. Anglers will hit the water in search of their favourite species, with presentations commencing from 5:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.
It’s a chance to cast a line, share a few stories, enjoy some friendly competition and celebrate everything Ike loved most — great fishing, great mates and time spent on the water.
And for those chasing the mighty Barra, there’s even more reason to get amongst it! With the 20th Anniversary Interclub Competition against Broome taking place the following weekend, the Ike Stohl Memorial is the perfect opportunity to find those Barra, sharpen your skills and get ready to go head-to-head with Broome!
