Mary Island Fishing Club AGM & Fundraising Quiz Night
Sunday 29 November | Club open 4:00pm | AGM 5:00pm – Quiz Night to follow
Join us for a special evening as the Mary Island Fishing Club comes together for our Annual General Meeting (AGM), followed by a fundraising Quiz Night in support of one of our own!
AGM – Get Involved in 2027!
Love fishing? Want to make a difference in our local community? We’d love to have you on board!
As we prepare for another exciting year, we’re looking for enthusiastic members to join the 2027 Mary Island Fishing Committee.
Whether you’re a keen fisho, passionate about getting kids and families involved in fishing, or simple want to lend a hand with our events and competitions, there’s a place for you!
Our AGM is your opportunity to have your say, get involved and help shape the future of the club. You don’t need to be an expert angler, just someone willing to get involved, share ideas and support our fishing community.
Fundraising Quiz Night – Supporting One of Our Own
Following the AGM, we’ll be putting our fishing knowledge aside (well, maybe!) and getting together for a fun-filled Quiz Night with a very special purpose.
Earlier this year, one of our valued committee members, Chris Murray, was diagnosed with cancer. Chris has been an important part of our club since joining in 2023, and now it’s our turn to rally around him.
We’re hosting a fundraising Quiz Night to show our support and help ease some of the financial pressures that can come with undergoing cancer treatment.
Throughout the evening, we’ll be holding raffles and auctions, with funds raised going towards supporting Chris during this challenging time.
It’s an opportunity for our fishing community to do what it does best, come together, look after our mates and make a real difference.
Whether you’re a trivia champion, love a good raffle, enjoy a bit of friendly competition or simple want to show your support, we’d love to see you there!
If you want to get involved by making a donation, providing raffle or auction items, please get in touch via our email: mifishderby@hotmail.com.
More details about the Quiz Night, including how to get your tickets or grab yourself a table, will be announced soon!
