WELCOME TO 2019!!!

The start of another year brings a ridiculously enthusiastic MIFC committee, itching to get into 2019 and create great events and memories for our club. For the first time in god knows how long, we managed our first committee meeting for 2019 with a full compliment committee and have laid the foundations for getting lots done this year! Thanks to the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley waivering our tip fees, the club will be clearing our sub lease area at the rear of the main club grounds over the next few weeks which will make the area a whole lot safer and look a whole lot nicer.

After our committee was sworn in at the November AGM we met to have our first meeting to lay out our fishing club year. We also spent a morning tidying the club up and shutting down all our freezers & fridges etc.. To help lower our power bill and secure it while it wasn't being used over the next 6-8 weeks. During this shut down the club has actually been hired out 3 times, for a wake, an 18th and a joint 21st/50thbirthday party, this is a fantastic result for the club and great for our bank balance.

The MIFC will be have a stall at the Derby Community Expo on Sunday 17th Feb @ the Sporties club . This is a great chance to renew your membership if you haven't already and touch base with the committee to find out everything that coming up for the club, including our “POP UP” fishing comp to be held on Saturday 23rd Feb…..check out the details on the next page.

We have had some technical issues with the MIFC web site which I am happy to say have now been fixed!! A big thank you goes out to Ethan Kenworthy for fixing it all up and also to Evette Macfarlan for getting all our 2019 comp info loaded on. Buccaneer Classic entry forms are now available from our web site.
